About The Position

Advance your career in the Maryland/DC region! We invite you to join our team of multispecialty anesthesiologists at the University of Maryland. We’re seeking board-eligible/board-certified MD/DO anesthesiologists to support our rapidly expanding growth, working in operating room, procedural and obstetrics suite environments. Opportunities currently exist at our Baltimore Washington Medical Center (BWMC) practice. Duties include clinical care and some teaching of learners at various levels—student registered nurse anesthetists, residents, etc. BWMC has been recognized as one of the best hospitals in the region for more than 20 years. Our team is committed to the delivery of state-of-the-art anesthesia services and BWMC is home to leading-edge technology, nationally recognized quality, personalized service and outstanding people. Our academic department is dedicated to helping faculty obtain outstanding skills and additional certifications in ultrasound, simulation, quality/safety/clinical research and expertise in many other disciplines. Our department has a very strong research profile (#14 national 2024 Blue Ridge Ranking) and a major focus on quality/safety/clinical research, supported by a perioperative data warehouse and membership in the Multicenter Perioperative Outcomes Group (MPOG). Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate’s experience.

Requirements
