The Open Rank Faculty and Program Coordinator for Cardiovascular Interventional Science at Georgia Southern University is responsible for overseeing the program's organization, administration, and effectiveness.   • Assure achievement of the program's goals and outcomes.
  • Organize, administer, and continuously review the program.
  • Plan and develop the program to ensure its effectiveness.
  • Supervise and coordinate instructional staff in academic and clinical phases.
  • Teach cardiovascular interventional science content in classroom, online, and laboratory settings.
  • Engage in service activities including committee assignments and recruitment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Earned master's degree by July 1, 2025.
  • Active Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential.
  • Two years of hands-on experience in invasive cardiology (cardiac catheterization laboratory).
  • Willingness to acquire BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Commitment to best practices in instruction, mentoring, and curriculum design.
  • Active BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Three or more years of hands-on experience in invasive cardiology.
  • At least one year of hands-on experience in peripheral vascular procedures.
  • Experience in neurovascular interventional procedures or electrophysiology laboratory.
  • Previous experience as a program director or clinical coordinator in an accredited program.
  • Academic course credit in imaging, radiation protection, and radiobiology.
  • ARRT credentials: RT(R), RT(CI), RT(VI).
  • Proficiency in designing and instructing online courses.
