About The Position

The Department of Health Behavior and Nutrition Sciences (HBNS) in the College of Health Sciences (CHS) at the University of Delaware (UD) seeks an experienced, innovative, and highly motivated instructor to join an award-winning faculty for a 9-month, open-rank, continuing track faculty appointment in the Nutrition program. Continuing track appointments are not eligible for tenure. Primary responsibilities include serving as the Director of the ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship and Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics/Dietetic Internship (MS/DI); teaching undergraduate and dietetic internship courses in food and nutrition; recruiting and mentoring students and interns; providing leadership to the nutrition program including curriculum development and evaluation; and contributing to University service. The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to design and implement curriculum and evaluate dietetic intern performance in the clinical, community, and food service management domains of dietetics. The successful candidate will: Hold a master’s degree or higher in nutrition or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution. Possess active credentials as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and have a minimum of three years of professional experience, post-credentialing, in nutrition, dietetics, or a related health field.
