About The Position
The University of Miami Health System is initiating a search for a Clinical Gastroenterologist (open rank). The physician in the clinical track is responsible for providing direct inpatient and outpatient care to Hepatology patients at UHealth Locations and Jackson Memorial Hospital. He/she will provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services , as well as rounding/teaching on inpatients at UHealth Towers, and Jackson Memorial Hospital . Preferred physician who has experience as a Transplant Hepatologist .
Requirements
- MD/DO Degree
- ACGME US Internal Medicine R esidency
- Completed 3-year ACGME US Gastroenterology and/or Hepatology fellowship
- Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine
- Valid unrestricted Florida Medic al License
- Valid DEA licensure
- Completion of transplant hepatology training
Nice To Haves
- Preferred physician who has experience as a Transplant Hepatologist
Responsibilities
- Maintain outpatient clinical practice at Uhealth locations, UHealth Towers , and/or Satellite locations
- Reading of Fibroscans
- Rotate proportionate to other faculty on Hepatology inpatient and JMH teaching services
