The University of Colorado Cancer Center is currently seeking a full-time clinical health psychologist. The position will be at the Assistant to Associate Professor faculty rank appointed in the Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology and located primarily at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO. While working as a member of the oncology counseling team, this psychologist will function independently or with minimal supervision. The primary function of this role is to provide health and behavior interventions and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups within a diverse adult oncology population at the University of Colorado Hospital and Cancer Pavilion. The psychologist will work primarily in an outpatient context with the potential for some inpatient work to support medical oncology teams, patients, caregivers and their families. This role also offers the opportunity for remote telehealth work. Dependent on the psychologist’s interest and experience, this role may also offer the following opportunities: clinical supervision of psychology doctoral fellows and pre-doctoral interns, program development and evaluation, quality improvement initiatives as well as leading or collaborating on scientific research.
