Open Gym Supervisor
About The Position

As an SBA-certified HUBZone, Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), we deliver quality, professional services to support the missions and strategic business goals of our clients. The Department of Health Enhancement, Exercise Science and Physical Education has a need for qualified individuals to help supervise our Recreation/ Fitness Program open to our students, faculty and staff. Work hours are Monday through Thursday, 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm. The Open Gym Supervisors will report to the Department of Health Enhancement, Exercise Science and Physical Education. This individual will help oversee our fitness programs with the following schedule:
Requirements
- CPR/AED certification
- Experience is fitness instruction, group and/ or individual
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Fitness Certification from an NCCA accredited organization including: American College of Sports Medicine American Council on Exercise The Cooper Institute National Academy of Sports Medicine National Strength and Conditioning Association
Responsibilities
- Supervising students during designated Open Gym hours
- Enforcing rules and regulations of the Open Gym program
- Complete and maintain accurate records for the program
- Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff and students
