Open Gym Attendant - Part Time

About The Position

Oversee the Pavilion gymnasium during open gym times. The attendant’s duties include registering participants, collecting entry fees, verifying resident status, setting up/taking down equipment and overseeing the gymnasium and its participants.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in various situations.
• Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions.
• Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees
• High school diploma
• At least two years athletic experience (playing and/or coaching)
• CPR/AED Certified

Responsibilities

• Must be responsible and able to handle money, prepare closing statements, and make nightly deposits.
• Be trained on the registration system.
• Must be prompt and present when scheduled.
• Must be able to set up and take down athletic equipment.
• Must follow the check-in procedures for participants; including asking all participants to provide proof of residency to receive the resident discount for Open Gym.
• Must be able to adhere to the open gym schedule for participants and ensure that the division of courts (when necessary) is done efficiently.
• Performs the job safely and in compliance with district policies, procedures, work and safety rules.
• Be familiar with the safe operation of any equipment necessary in accomplishing required tasks
