About The Position
The Op Tech role involves assisting in the setup, adjustment, and operation of machinery to produce goods or parts according to specifications. This includes supporting the acquisition of operation plans and processing manufacturing batches of bulk materials/ingredients, with mechanical processing as needed. The position also entails performing cleaning, servicing, and routine maintenance on machines, monitoring their operation, and carrying out repairs. A key aspect is identifying problems with machines and supporting process optimization for troubleshooting, as well as administering operational processes and maintaining accurate records of machine performance.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the setup, adjustment and operation of machinery to produce goods or parts according to specifications
- Supporting the acquisition of operation plans and carrying out the processing of manufacturing batches of bulk materials/ingredients, including mechanical processing as required
- Performing cleaning, servicing and routine maintenance on machines to ensure they remain in good working order
- Supporting the monitoring of machines during operation to ensure they are functioning properly and carrying out repairs as needed
- Identifying problems (causes) that occur with machines and supporting the optimization of processes for troubleshooting
- Administering operational processes and keeping accurate records of machine performance
