About The Position

In this role, you will report to the Onsite Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.In this role you will:

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience: 2+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment
  • Inventory Management Knowledge of inventory control systems, cycle counting, physical inventories, and managing slow-moving or dead inventory.
  • Customer Service (Face to Face)
  • Shipping/Receiving
  • Ability to adjust to new tasks and changes in customer requirements or procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Oversee consumables, chemicals, samples, and other materials to ensure accurate inventory control. Process requests that result in inventory movement on and off-site, and provide customer metric reporting.
  • Inventory Control Functions: Monitor slow-moving and dead inventory, perform cycle counts, conduct annual physical inventories, and generate related reports.
  • Purchasing Activities: Manage tasks such as backorder reporting and expediting, coordinating direct factory shipments, engaging third-party support, handling quotes, maintaining documentation and records, and resolving open invoices or pricing discrepancies
  • Shipping Coordination: Arrange shipment of customer materials, address routine issues, input shipping details into customer systems, and perform equipment inspections.
  • Hazardous Material Handling: Prepare shipping documentation and packaging in compliance with hazardous material requirements.
