About The Position

As an Onsite Project Manager you will be responsible for coordinating the onsite operations related to customer projects, including hazardous, non-hazardous, E&P exempt and MSW waste management. This role oversees project components including proposals/quotes, equipment and labor costs, length of project and ensures safety and compliance with governmental regulations and Company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (required); degree in chemistry, engineering, environmental science or other technical field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in hazardous waste management or environmental services i.e. remediation, emergency response, etc. (required) -OR- In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in hazardous waste management or environmental services i.e. remediation, emergency response, etc. (required)
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Working knowledge of all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations pertaining to the Environmental Services industry
  • Ability to balance and delivery upon multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Superior organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively write business proposals
  • Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Manages and schedules day-to-day onsite operations to optimize employee and equipment utilization
  • Monitors costs of onsite operations such as projects, equipment and supplies, which in turn dictate pricing and profitability
  • Maintains responsibility for ensuring the satisfaction of onsite customer; monitors daily onsite tasks and keep customer informed of project progress and negotiates change orders as needed
  • Scopes projects and develops written proposals outlining equipment, cost, labor and estimated length of project
  • Manages onsite 90-day accumulation area and hazardous/non-hazardous/E&P exempt waste shipments
  • Maintains responsibility for monthly billing approval and other administrative tasks
  • Conducts daily Tailgate/Safety meetings with employees; ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as Company policies
  • Participates in hiring, performance evaluation, training, and disciplinary decisions or procedures
  • Maintains ability to be available for emergency response and after-hour calls
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
