About The Position

ICA Language Services is seeking an Onsite Manager for their contract with DLIFLC in Monterey, CA. This full-time position involves coordinating with academic advisors, supporting instructors, filling in for classes, building curriculum, and handling various administrative duties. The Onsite Manager will work in a team-based environment, contributing to the advancement of students' careers while ensuring effective language instruction and administrative oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 2 years of classroom experience, preferably in higher education teaching.
• Management and teaching certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Native or near-native level speaker of Russian, ILR Level 3 or higher.
• Experience in developing or conducting proficiency testing.
• Knowledge of various adult instruction methodologies.
• Experience using technology in the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Academic Advisor and support instructors.
• Fill in for classes and assist with curriculum development.
• Conduct observations and student counseling, preparing Progress Reports.
• Review Progress Reports with students and ensure understanding of performance.
• Address student requests and ensure accurate attendance submission.
• Engage in team teaching and provide one-on-one lessons as needed.
• Create action plans for failing students and follow up on implementation.
• Review weekly and daily schedules and lesson plans for compliance with contract requirements.
• Assess quizzes and graded tests for quality control and advise students on improvements.
• Select authentic and supplemental materials tailored for students.
