Located in the Village of Sugar Mountain, N.C., the resort is a ten-story high-rise condominium complex that houses 320 units. SugarTop amenities include a full-size heated indoor pool, two large hot tubs, one dry and one wet sauna, as well as a state-of-the-art workout facility. The long-range views are without question the best in the region for your sunrises and morning coffee or sunsets with your other favorite beverages. SugarTop Resort is adjacent to Sugar Ski, the premier winter sports venue in the Southeast, as well as a challenging 18-hole championship Golf Course just minutes away in the Village of Sugar Mountain. Requirements

  • Good organizational and verbal skills
  • Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues
  • Able to perform basic mathematical skills, monitor and develop subordinates, visually monitor operation areas, and write and read member communications
  • Must be able to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting, and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting.
  • Work indoors and/or outdoors
  • Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, and harmful chemicals and/or solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach as needed.
  • Ability to lift or move objects up to 10–15 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies).
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
  • Visual acuity to read printed materials, spreadsheets, and computer screens.
  • Hearing and speech ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in virtual meetings.
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Ability to work a standard schedule, with occasional extended hours as required.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and cleaning guest rooms and public areas
  • General cleaning of guest rooms
  • Make up guest beds
  • Take all linens and towels to be cleaned
  • Keep floors and carpets clean throughout the lodge and guest rooms
  • Maintain stock levels for towels, toilet paper, tissues, etc.
  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so health standards are met
  • Clean rugs, carpets, furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampoos
  • Empty wastebaskets, empty ashtrays, and transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas
  • Work evenings, holidays, and weekends on a rotating basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned
