Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience working previously as a HR Generalist.
  • An excellent practical knowledge of HR best practice policies and procedures and employment legislation in the US.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Be approachable, personable, energetic, conscientious with the highest standard of integrity.
  • Attention to detail & a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • A passion for helping people by coaching, mentoring & supporting the business units.
  • An individual with a sense of ownership and responsibility with a proven record of working on their own initiative.
  • Ability to influence without authority and able to effectively hold both employees and management accountable for their actions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influence skills are essential to stand firm in adverse and challenging situations.
  • Organized, innovative and results driven with the ability to manage multiple assignments in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong and influential working relationships with key partners including Operations Managers, PBP's, Legal and external vendors ensuring the delivery of effective, efficient, and professional end to end HR service.
  • Continuously promote and drive engagement in cultural programs and initiatives to help build and sustain a positive culture.
  • Drive the review and implementation of HR programs and guidelines in partnership with the broader People team.
  • Respond and resolve HR-related inquiries from employees, managers, Centers of Expertise and vendors via email, slack, and in person against agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Support leadership and people managers with all people related matters, including addressing employee relations issues quickly, effectively and in line with local employment laws and regulations.
  • Independently manage and resolve HR-related investigations, ensuring thorough and objective analysis of cases.
  • Conduct detailed documentation and make fair and consistent recommendations regarding corrective actions in alignment with company policies, programs, and legal compliance.
  • Provide recruitment & onboarding support including CV screening, and interviewing.
  • Liaison with eBay payroll and People Tech Systems team on employee issues as needed.
  • Mentor and coach People Managers providing expertise regarding employment legislation, compliance, and operational effectiveness and improvements.
  • Facilitate ongoing proactive and reactive listening through interviews, focus groups, 1:1s.
  • Synthesize insights and provide to applicable partners.
  • Identify and assess training needs.
  • Partner with Talent Development to offer support with the development and roll out of training programs.
  • Support the People Business Partner with HR program delivery, including the performance review cycle process and goal setting.
  • Collaborate with management to address employee feedback and concerns, fostering a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.
  • Role-model good cultural values and work with leaders to turn culture vision into tangible actions.
  • Willing to travel to other eBay sites in the US when required.
