About The Position
Insight Global is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing client located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the lamination facility, which specializes in the production of automotive interior components. The technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various mechanical and electrical systems within the facility, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. Candidates must possess a solid background in building or facilities maintenance, with a strong emphasis on mechanical and electrical knowledge. The position requires active participation in plant safety meetings and the enforcement of safety protocols within the department. The technician will be expected to demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills, as they will be working closely with team members and management to uphold safety standards and operational efficiency. The role also involves self-management across a range of job tasks, including breakdown repairs, data input in work order tracking systems, and parts procurement. In addition to routine maintenance tasks, the technician may be assigned various projects, such as minor forklift repairs and coordination with outside vendors for major repairs. The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is essential, as is a proven track record of reliability and dependability. The technician will also be responsible for interacting with vendors and contractors to complete assignments and will attend daily team meetings and other assigned meetings to ensure alignment with plant management's goals.
