About The Position

Avenal Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is hiring a reliable and safety-focused Water Truck Driver / Laborer to help maintain dust control and support daily operations. This is a full-time, outdoor position ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work and operating heavy equipment. This person will also have the opportunity to train on heavy equipment with our landfill operators in the future. Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record
• Experience operating water trucks or similar equipment a plus
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions

Responsibilities

• Operate a water truck to control dust on landfill roads and work areas
• Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of the truck
• Safely navigate landfill terrain and follow site safety rules
• Pick litter and perform other labor duties with any down time
• Assist with other site tasks as needed
