About The Position

Elevate Life Church is seeking a passionate, experienced, and spiritually mature leader to serve as the Onsite Director of our Internship College program. This role is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, operations, and spiritual formation of the internship program in partnership with Southeastern University (SEU). The Onsite Director will provide hands-on oversight of interns, ensure high-quality ministry training and discipleship, maintain strong academic and relational coordination with SEU, and help develop the next generation of ministry leaders who are equipped to serve the local church and fulfill the Great Commission.

Requirements

  • A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a clear calling to ministry and leadership development.
  • Strong personal integrity, character, and alignment with Elevate Life Church’s statement of faith and core values.
  • Ability to teach, preach, and disciple others effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree or previous internship experience is required.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in church ministry, internship/leadership program direction, or higher education administration.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong relational and pastoral abilities with a heart for developing emerging leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented church environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic student management systems.
  • Passion for the local church and a Kingdom-minded vision for raising up leaders.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Ministry, Leadership, Theology, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience working with college-aged students or young adults in a ministry context.
  • Experience coordinating with a university or academic partner is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary and operational leadership for the on-site internship college program.
  • Oversee the full student experience, including recruitment, orientation, curriculum delivery, spiritual formation, and program completion.
  • Develop and implement a robust schedule of classes, ministry rotations, mentorship, and practical ministry assignments within Elevate Life Church ministries.
  • Ensure the program delivers hands-on training in areas such as worship, pastoral ministry, discipleship, creative arts, student ministry, and church operations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Elevate Life Church and Southeastern University.
  • Collaborate with SEU faculty and administration to align the internship curriculum with SEU’s academic requirements for credit-bearing courses or degree pathways.
  • Track student academic progress, ensure compliance with university policies, and facilitate seamless integration of classroom learning with practical church ministry.
  • Participate in regular partnership meetings, site visits, and reporting as required by SEU.
  • Provide direct pastoral care, discipleship, and leadership development to all interns.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one mentoring, group leadership training, and spiritual formation sessions.
  • Evaluate intern performance through feedback, goal-setting, and ministry assessments.
  • Foster a healthy, accountable, and growth-oriented community among the interns.
  • Manage program logistics, including scheduling, housing (if applicable), budgets, and resources.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise additional staff, mentors, or volunteers who support the internship program.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and program outcomes.
  • Ensure all program activities align with Elevate Life Church’s vision, values, and safety policies.
  • Actively participate in the life of Elevate Life Church by serving in weekend services, events, and other ministry initiatives.
  • Model excellence in ministry and leadership for the interns.
  • Be present and actively serve in Youth and Young Adults to ensure The Academy is represented and students are supported with consistent oversight. These ministries also serve as key pipelines into the program, making strong relational alignment and connection essential.
