Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and curious intern to join the Onshape Technical Services team at the PTC HQ in Boston's Seaport District. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to learn how technical sales teams operate, how product demonstrations are crafted and delivered to prospective customers, and the behind-the-scenes experience of how we prepare for those calls.

  • Support the presales team by assisting in the preparation and delivery of product demos.
  • Become a product expert in CAD, PDM, and more.
  • Collaborate with a fast-paced, in-office team to gain exposure to real-world sales engagements.
  • Develop communication and presentation skills by shadowing experienced team members and contributing to demo content.
  • Find new and creative ways to introduce Onshape to the engineering community
  • Experience with mechanical CAD software (SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, Siemens NX, etc.)
  • Experience in delivering product demonstrations.
  • Experience with complex problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or a technical equivalent.
  • Ability to be in the Boston HQ 3 days/week
  • Experience and familiarity with PDM or PLM products (SOLIDWORKS PDM, Windchill, Autodesk Vault, Siemens Teamcenter)
  • Experience with engineering software such as CAM, FEA/CFD, ECAD.
