We are seeking a highly skilled Online Learning Support Specialist to provide exceptional support to UC’s students and faculty. This position requires a dedicated evening and overnight commitment, working 3:00 PM - Midnight (ET), Sunday through Thursday. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless support and operations during these critical hours. Key Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly and accurately addressing faculty and student inquiries via phone, email, or chat, ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience Stay ahead of the curve by proactively informing faculty and students about new features and functionalities, empowering them to leverage the full potential of our LMS Foster a culture of continuous improvement by following up with users to ensure their technical issues are resolved efficiently and effectively Collaborate closely with faculty members, providing invaluable assistance in creating tests, quizzes, grade books, rubrics, and other essential educational tools. Facilitate the seamless integration of Blackboard with third-party tools, ensuring a cohesive and user-friendly learning environment Develop and maintain comprehensive training materials, leveraging your expertise to train students, faculty, and staff, ensuring their proficiency in utilizing the LMS. Monitor and troubleshoot LMS technical issues proactively, identifying and resolving potential challenges before they impact the learning experience Contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes by providing thorough documentation, conducting course audits, and collecting and reporting data to drive informed decision-making Requirements: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role or educational technology setting Experience with Blackboard, including course production, maintenance, troubleshooting user problems, and training faculty and students Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to track, prioritize, and follow up on multiple projects simultaneously Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders. A passion for learning and a willingness to embrace new technologies and industry trends Ability and commitment to work 3:00 PM - Midnight (ET), Sunday through Thursday Other Desirable Qualifications: Previous experience working with higher education institutions, providing a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements Familiarity with Learning Tool Interoperability (LTI) tools, ensuring a seamless integration of third-party applications Certification/Training on Blackboard LMS administration, demonstrating your commitment to professional development and expertise If you thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment, possess a passion for educational technology, and are committed to providing exceptional support during evening and overnight hours, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
