About The Position

The Online Learning Librarian at Old Dominion University will lead the strategic direction for the Libraries' online learning initiatives, ensuring integration with ODU Global. This role involves developing and assessing online tutorials, videos, and guides that align with the university's information literacy and research-related learning outcomes. The librarian will also conduct library instruction and online workshops, provide one-on-one research support to undergraduate students, and represent the ODU Libraries on university committees related to online learning.

Requirements

  • American Library Association accredited Master's Degree in library and information science or an accredited graduate degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction for the Libraries' online learning presence.
  • Develop and assess online tutorials, videos, and guides.
  • Collaborate with other librarians to identify or develop online learning tools.
  • Conduct library instruction and online workshops for undergraduate students.
  • Provide one-on-one research support to undergraduate students.
  • Represent the ODU Libraries on university committees related to online learning.
