The position involves teaching courses as assigned by the Director of Online Faculty Support. The instructor will utilize a variety of supplementary resources, including instructional technology, guest speakers, current articles and literature, and discipline-specific equipment. The role requires active engagement in retention activities, including documented communication with both students and administration regarding attendance and progress. The instructor is responsible for submitting assigned grading and attendance documentation on deadline and providing assistance for the planning, development, and maintenance of program curriculum. Additionally, the instructor will work with the Director of Online Faculty Support to resolve student concerns and will grade tests, projects, and other assignments within a required timeframe. Accurate student grade records must be maintained, and the instructor should be familiar with the school catalog, faculty handbook, and all procedures and expectations stated within them. Participation in the evaluation of textbooks and other instructional materials is also required, along with submitting final grades by established deadlines. The instructor will perform start and end-of-term procedures, provide annual documentation of continued Faculty Development and Professional Development, attend scheduled company meetings, in-service workshops, and faculty meetings, and incorporate learned concepts into classroom instruction. Adherence to and support of school policies and procedures as referenced in the employee handbook, faculty handbook, and catalog is essential. The instructor may also perform other duties as specified by the Director of Online Faculty Support.
