About The Position
The Data Science Program at CU Boulder encourages applications for an Online Graduate Program Specialist! This role serves as the advisor for online master's students and certificate students, including Coursera-based degree students (Coursera) and supports upcoming online initiatives. Through proactive outreach and communication, the graduate advisor informs and advises students of their degree and admissions achievements and tracks their progress towards fulfilling them; advises students about the nature and content of the program's curricula; helps prepare students to take advantage of professional development, and community-building opportunities. The Data Science Program (DS) is committed to developing collaborative, student-centered relationships between graduate program advisors and graduate students that support achievement of academic success through performance-based admissions, promote personal and professional development of students, and foster a sense of community for our graduate students. The DS Online Graduate Program Specialist supports the student through a developmental, student-focused approach. This position is charged with developing and implementing advising strategies and interventions to enhance the performance and persistence of students in pathway courses and graduate certificates.
