Responsible for filling customer orders submitted online and may identify substitute products for items out of stock. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for performing duties relative to the Buy Online Pick up In Person program (BOPIP) including, but not limited to picking multiple customer orders at a time. Pulls customer order from the system, selects/picks merchandise from shelf throughout the store that is identified on the order list. Combines orders, as needed, when multiple associates are fulfilling the same order. Completes orders by gathering products on the customers list, ensuring order accuracy. Notates items that are out of stock and or price changes, as applicable. Ensures list is completed and accounted for in the specified timeline, and staged in accordance with company policies in preparation for customer pick-up. Performs basic computer data entry and email tasks, notifying pulling orders and cancelling orders as needed. Makes notes and updates in the system. Calls customers to advise of order readiness. Interacts and communicates with customers via email, text, and phone and in person, ensuring Premier Customer Service protocol. Partners with other associates, management and/or Store Workers in a friendly and professional manner. Communicates with supervisor, store manager, etc. regarding stock additions, deletions, fast and slow selling merchandise, customer preferences, needs, problems, etc. Actively seeks to exchange ideas regarding improvements in customer service, job performance and achieve of store/department goals. May be authorized by the customer placing the order to do substitutions if necessary. Becomes knowledgeable regarding merchandise availability and comparable brand substitutions in order to communicate such to customers as warranted. Inform management of the lack of advertised items, incorrect prices, missing signs, departmental changes, and/or other situations as appropriate and relative to customer requirements and experience. May be requested to adjust on-hands for inventory data integrity and report pricing discrepancies using the prescribed systems for reporting. Adapts to various situations and adjusts to shifting priorities; is flexible and able to perform multiple tasks without showing signs of stress or irritability. May serve as a back-up cashier or customer service support during peak periods. Is required to lift up to 25 lbs. as it relates to job duties but not limited to: assisting customers, lifting merchandise as necessary, etc. May work outside performing curbside deliveries to customer vehicles in inclement weather.
