About The Position

Hudson Global Scholars is now interviewing teachers for part-time teaching positions to teach Digital Media to international students from 7 AM to 7:40 AM EDT Role Overview: Part-time teachers are responsible for delivering online course content, providing instruction and support, and managing the learning process to meet students' individual needs. They monitor student progress and provide necessary interventions to help students achieve their goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited US university in digital media, communications, art, or a related field
  • State teaching certification in Technology Applications, Visual Arts, or Media Arts preferred
  • Minimum one year of online teaching experience.
  • Specific qualifications for teaching Catholic religion classes if applicable.
  • Flexibility for early morning or late evening classes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills.
  • A full PC is required (tablets or Chromebooks are not sufficient).
  • Instructors or anyone needing virtual backgrounds in Zoom must meet the specs below.
  • Operating System Windows 7, 8, 10 (64-bit), or 11 macOS 10.13+ Linux (varies by distribution)
  • Processor (CPU) Intel: Core i3 (5th gen+), Core i5/i7/i9 (3rd gen+) AMD: 8 cores @ 2.0 GHz+, Ryzen 5/7/9 or newer Apple Silicon: M1 or newer
  • Graphics (GPU) Intel HD Graphics 500+ or Intel UHD (driver 23+) AMD GPU with adequate cores ARM64: Adreno 680+ (driver 27.20.1640.0+)
  • Memory (RAM) Minimum: 8GB Recommended: 16GB+ for smoother video performance
  • A cell phone capable of receiving text messages

Nice To Haves

  • State teaching certification in Technology Applications, Visual Arts, or Media Arts preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide live and asynchronous instruction.
  • Support domestic and international students.
  • Prepare for live sessions with appropriate technology and materials.
  • Adhere to communication procedures and grading timelines.
  • Provide feedback and maintain student documentation.
  • Implement and uphold virtual classroom rules and order.
  • Collaborate with Instructional Managers.
  • Follow Hudson Global Scholars' policies and ethical guidelines.
  • Possibly teach in a Catholic faith-based program, respecting religious beliefs.
