About The Position

Online Adjunct - Health Promotion and Population Health – Health Care Professions Are you passionate about shaping future health care leaders and helping students discover their purpose? The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at GCU is seeking knowledgeable, mission-driven Adjunct Faculty to teach Health Promotion and Population Health online. This course explores the social determinants of health and examines how social, legal, and political factors shape health outcomes for individuals, families, communities, and populations across the life span. Learners apply epidemiological data, functional health pattern assessments, and nursing theories to design and implement strategies that promote health and prevent disease at every stage of life. What You Will Do Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction using innovative teaching methods and current industry technologies. Maintain compliance with accreditation standards. Model the holistic tenets of the nursing profession and uphold the University’s mission and pillars. Facilitate meaningful classroom discussions, assess student learning, and prepare students for leadership roles in health care. Support program initiatives and demonstrate alignment with the philosophy and direction of the University. Provide a positive example by supporting GCU’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission. What You Will Bring Master's (or higher) in Nursing or a Bachelor's in Nursing with a graduate degree in a relevant healthcare discipline. Graduate degree must be from an accredited university. An active, unencumbered RN license. A minimum of three (3) years of direct patient care nursing experience. Relevant nursing experience in community or public health preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships with students. Proficiency in English, grammar, and APA writing. Commitment to modeling GCU’s mission and values. Requirements

Master's (or higher) in Nursing or a Bachelor's in Nursing with a graduate degree in a relevant healthcare discipline.
