About The Position

Liberty University's School of Education doctoral team is seeking an Online Applied Research Methods Expert. Primary responsibilities will include supervising doctoral candidates conducting methodologically sound research, reviewing capstone project manuscripts, providing detailed feedback specific to applied research methods, and maintaining communication with candidates to ensure compliance with the SOE capstone handbook and university policies. This posting is for remote doctoral chairs positions.

Requirements

• EdD or PhD in Education from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Cover letter attached with the title of the position applied for.
• Pastoral reference letter required, signed by the Pastor from current church, dated 2023 or 2024, on church letterhead.
• Two professional reference letters required.
• Full doctrinal compatibility with Liberty University.
• Demonstrated expertise in qualitative research.
• Superior interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and communication skills.
• Creative, innovative, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Canvas.
• If applicable, upload a copy of teaching license.

Nice To Haves

• Established record of research evidenced by intellectual and professional contributions to the field through peer-reviewed publication and conference presentations.
• Experience with capstone, dissertation, or thesis mentorship.
• Experience teaching research methods using online learning platforms (e.g., Canvas).
• Ability to work at a pace that will not delay the progress of a doctoral candidate toward timely completion of the doctoral degree.
