Online Academic Tutor – All Subjects (Flexible Remote Position)
About The Position
Are you passionate about making a difference in students’ lives? Novastar Prep is seeking dedicated part-time tutors to join our team. Whether you're an experienced educator or someone with a strong academic background, this is your opportunity to work 1:1 with students in a supportive and personalized environment. Subjects Tutoring Opportunities: Mathematics: Tutor students in Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus I-III. English Language Arts: Help students improve in Reading Comprehension, Writing Skills, Literature, Public Speaking, and Advanced Placement (AP) English. Science: Provide instruction in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and AP Science courses. Social Studies: Assist students with US History, World History, European History, Civics/Government, Economics, and AP Studies courses. Test Preparation: Prepare students for the PSAT, SAT, ACT, SOLs, GRE, MCAT, and LSAT with focused, strategic tutoring. College Application Advising: Guide students through the College Essay writing process, College Application procedures, and Interview Preparation. Why Novastar Prep? Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field.
- 1+ year of recent or current tutoring or teaching experience.
- Clear and effective communicator, able to connect with students of various learning styles.
- Must have a reliable internet connection and be computer literate.
- Willingness to commit to at least one semester.
- Ability to pass a background check.
