Join the Orlando Neighborhood Improvement Corporation (ONIC) as a VISTA Member and contribute to creating lasting change in the lives of residents and the broader community. Your efforts will include developing a comprehensive and user-friendly community resource database, ensuring that residents and staff can easily access essential services and information. By fostering meaningful collaborations with local service providers, you will strengthen partnerships and streamline referral networks to expand resource availability and effectiveness. As a VISTA Member, you will also focus on volunteer engagement by recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers to assist in implementing ONIC's initiatives. You will design tools such as a Volunteer Handbook, establish training systems, and create evaluation frameworks to ensure that volunteer efforts are both efficient and impactful. Additionally, you will work closely with ONIC's team to develop management tools and systems that enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness in serving residents.
