About The Position

The One Stop Assistant is a full-time, permanent position within the Student Services staff at Dyersburg State Community College. This role primarily involves assisting students with various inquiries related to financial aid, admissions, and student records, while providing exceptional customer service. The position requires effective communication and organizational skills to navigate student needs and institutional processes efficiently.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate Degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in customer service.
• Experience in a professional office setting preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with INB Banner and Self-Service systems.
• Familiarity with financial aid processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in person, by phone, or email with enrollment questions.
• Use INB Banner and Self-Service to access information to better answer questions.
• Collect and check documents from students about enrollment, business accounts, or financial aid.
• Ensure documents are complete, including book vouchers and financial aid verification.
• Instruct students on navigating the DSCC website and MyDSCC portal.
• Assist students with MyDSCC password resets and username inquiries.
• Support online processes such as applying for admission and scheduling advising appointments.
• Notify students of missing requirements upon arrival for appointments.
• Provide customer service for financial transactions and perform cashiering duties.
• Balance the cash box daily according to policy.
• Attend training to stay updated on institutional policies and procedures.
