The One Foundation Liaison for the GCU Canyon Center for Character Education (CCCE) ensures theological alignment and mission fidelity within all CCCE programs and resources at GCU. This role supports the Executive Director of the CCCE in guiding virtue and character formation efforts into alignment with GCU’s Christ-centered mission and One Foundation commitments. This position provides direct leadership over faith integration in the CCCE, shared virtue language, and collaborative relationships between the CCCE, One Foundation, faculty, and the wider university community. Through faith-informed leadership, the One Foundation Liaison helps GCU pursue its vision of cultivating Christ-like character rooted in faith, oriented by hope, and inspired to love, forming transformative leaders who pursue virtue through practiced wisdom for the common good.

  • Ensure One Foundation alignment of all CCCE resources, initiatives, and activities.
  • Support Christian character formation across GCU’s colleges and student life divisions through collaboration and faithful leadership.
  • Lead CCCE and One Foundation collaboration in support of the wider the Integration of Faith, Learning and Work (IFLW) commitments at GCU.
  • Facilitate Christian Character Speaker Series featuring thought and action leaders in Christian character, virtue formation, and human flourishing.
  • Ensure theological coherence and mission fidelity across all CCCE initiatives, materials, and programs.
  • Align virtue and character formation efforts in the CCCE with GCU’s mission and the guiding commitments of IFLW and One Foundation.
  • Guide the enhancement of CCCE resources, storytelling, and modules to connect all resourcing with the university’s Christ-centered mission.
  • Maintain strong, collaborative partnerships between CCCE and One Foundation, fostering regular communication and strategic alignment.
  • Support the integration of Christian character and One Foundation principles into curriculum design, faculty life, and institutional assessment and surveys.
  • Lead in the integration of Christian character metrics into institutional assessments, curriculum, and faculty life in partnership with One Foundation and Academic Affairs.
  • Organize and facilitate Communities of Practice by discipline or theme, grounded in One Foundation commitments, Christian character formation, virtue literacy, and practical wisdom.
  • Partner with faculty and curriculum teams to ensure faith integration is meaningfully embedded in academic and operational frameworks.
  • Lead in the creation of resources, tools, and a glossary that informs the shared language of Christian Character and IFLW, making explicit connections between the Christian worldview and discipline-specific application.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of training experiences, resources, and reflection tools that promote virtue formation and moral imagination across curricular and co-curricular settings ensuring mission alignment.
  • Shepherd CCCE storytelling efforts to match the mission and commitments of the university with charity and patience.
  • Represent and share GCU’s distinctive model for Christian Character formation and IFLW at national conferences and professional gatherings.
  • Support a campus-wide conference focused on Christian Character and professions, promoting the integration of faith, learning, and work and featuring diverse vocations and contexts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Master’s degree or higher in theology, divinity, or a closely related field (doctorate preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in theological education, character formation, or academic leadership.
  • Deep understanding of evangelical theological frameworks and Christian higher education.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with faculty, curriculum designers, and institutional leaders.
  • Experience in developing resources, organizing conferences, and facilitating faith integration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational capacity.
  • Passion for GCU’s Christ-centered mission and equipping others for faith-informed teaching and leadership.
  • Must be able to successfully pass background checks.
