About The Position

The One Call Specialist position at Lumen is an entry-level role designed to introduce individuals to the Telecommunications industry. This role involves a combination of training and practical experience, focusing on customer support within the Cable Protection Academy. Successful candidates will undergo a 5-week intensive training program, after which they will be evaluated and placed into a customer-focused technical support role, applying their training to provide exceptional service.

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge and abilities in a related field.
• Experience in telecom, military, or business with similar essential duties.
• Customer service or project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Screen One Call Center Locate Ticket requests to analyze dig site locations using software applications related to the company's underground fiber optics network.
• Protect company fiber and prevent costly restoration due to fiber cuts or damage by ensuring dig sites are clear.
• Cover various shifts, holidays, or work overtime as needed in a 24x7 operational environment.
