The One Call Operator, working under direct supervision, is responsible for calibrating one call line identification equipment and maintaining documentation certification. The role locates all underground facilities for one call notifications, installs appropriate identification on company owned lines, and notifies lease operators of planned boring and digging activities. The role monitors digging and boring around lines, records one calls in a centralized system that facilitates timely access across divisions and provides one call data for reports on boring and digging activities to governmental agencies. The role keeps pipeline map data consistent with GIS, monitors costs, implements SOPs for calibration, locates underground facilities, and provides technical training to optimize results.

  • Calibrates one call line identification equipment to ensure reliable detection of underground utilities and maintains documentation certification.
  • Locates all underground facilities for One Call notifications to prevent accidental damage or disruption.
  • Installs appropriate identification on company owned lines within specified timeframe through one call process.
  • Notifies lease operators of planned boring and digging activities near flowlines and pipelines.
  • Monitors digging and boring around lines including on-site inspections to monitor work progress and verify adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintains regulatory, environmental, and safety compliance in conjunction with Operations Foreman, Superintendents, and Environmental Health and Safety Department.
  • Records one calls in a centralized system that facilitates timely access across divisions.
  • Maintains all company policies and Devon issued equipment.
  • Assists in routine tasks on underground utilities identification, equipment installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Possesses the right and obligation to stop work in unsafe conditions.
  • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education is required.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in E&P Operations specializing in areas such as Line Identification and Inspection, Equipment Calibration or a related field.
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Certifications (preferred).
  • Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP) (preferred).
