About The Position

Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Oncology Services Navigator. This grant-funded, part-time position offers concierge-level customer service to oncology patients and their referring providers. The individual in this role serves as a dedicated guide and point of contact for patients navigating the surgical and treatment journey, ensuring they receive clear, compassionate, and comprehensive support throughout the continuum of care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in a medical or healthcare setting strongly preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary liaison between patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team.
  • Provide personalized, concierge-style support to help patients understand their care plan, including surgical processes, pre-operative and post-operative steps, and ongoing oncology treatment.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between patients, providers, and support staff to promote coordinated care.
  • Educate patients and families about appointments, timelines, necessary documentation, and procedures.
  • Proactively identify and address potential barriers to care, offering resources and support as needed.
  • Document patient interactions and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in accordance with organizational protocols.
