About The Position

The Oncology Sales Consultant for Prostate in St. Louis, MO, is responsible for driving the clinical demand, education, and sales of Bayer's oncology products, specifically Nubeqa and Xofigo. This role involves engaging with medical oncologists, urologists, and radiation oncologists within various healthcare institutions, including academic hospitals and community clinics. The consultant will focus on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and tailoring sales strategies to meet those needs while achieving sales goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Relevant specialty pharmaceutical sales, biotech sales, or medical sales experience.
  • Some specialty pharmaceutical sales experience in Oncology.
  • Experience with selling a product in combination with a companion diagnostic.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel as necessary, including overnight and/or weekend travel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Passionate and self-motivated individual.
  • Ability to comply with customer credentialing and safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in biological science or related discipline.
  • 5 or more years of relevant specialty pharmaceutical sales, biotech sales, or medical sales experience.
  • Specialty experience in Oncology and Urology strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Cardiovascular, Diabetes Care, Endocrinology, or Diagnostics.
  • Strong clinical expertise in various tumor types (Prostate, CRC, Lung, GIST, Sarcoma, Niche Tumors, etc.).
  • Ability to sell in pediatric and adult oncology settings.
  • Experience in launching new products and/or indications.
  • Experience selling diagnostic or genomic testing.
  • Academic institution or large oncology account selling and relationships.
  • Familiarity with immunohistochemistry or next generation sequencing.
  • Scientific background and understanding of clinical trials.

  • Build and foster strong positive relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.

  • Develop a long-term plan to activate accounts via various gatekeepers and influencers.
