Requirements

  • Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
  • Requires specialized knowledge in oncology, often with a background in oncology nursing.
  • Strong communication, patient advocacy, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Manages appointments, tests, and communication between surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists.
  • Identifies and eliminates obstacles to care, such as transportation, financial, or communication issues.
  • Provides information on diagnoses, treatment plans, and symptom management.
  • Offers emotional support and ensures the patient's voice is heard in the decision-making process.
  • Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement care while monitoring for side effects
