About The Position

Regions is seeking a Cancer Registrar with basic knowledge of medical terminology, EMR and data processing skills to join our Oncology team. In this role you will be responsible for complete and accurate data collection, maintenance, and update of Cancer Registry and reporting cases to the Minnesota and Wisconsin Department of Health and the National Cancer Data Base. Assist Oncology program in the required standards for certification. Provides oncology data to be used for education, patient follow-up, and research. Requirements

  • Completion of the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) formal education certificate Or enrolled in the formal NCRA education certificate program.
  • Must be eligible to take the Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) exam within 1 year of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in healthcare field and completion of the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) accredited formal education certificate.
  • Six months experience in a high-volume health care facility.
