ONCOLOGY NURSE NAVIGATOR-Oncology Service Line- 40HR Day Shift - (8a - 430pm Monday thru Friday)
About The Position
The Nurse Navigator functions on the multidisciplinary team as an advocate, coordinator and educator for oncology patients. Responsible for ensuring all patients with an oncology diagnosis receive quality and comprehensive services. The navigator coordinates patient care throughout the continuum in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. The navigator will serve as a clinical resource with expertise in oncology care management while also providing guidance to the patient related to scheduling appointments, removing access related barriers including insurance and transportation, and answering clinical care related questions. Serves as a liaison throughout the facility and in the community regarding services provided for this unique patient population.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required
- 2 years experience in oncology nursing Required
- 2 years experience in nursing Required
- PA Registered Nurse License Required
- Multi State Compact RN License Required Or
- Previous oncology experience required to navigate patient through initial diagnosis and treatment options.
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree Nursing Preferred
- 1 year experience in oncology nurse navigation Preferred
- Skill sets relatedd to transitional navigation and oncologic treatment modalities such as but not limited to radiation oncology; preferred.
- OCN - Oncology Cert Nurse Preferred
