Responsible for the facilitation and coordination of safe and comprehensive care to all patients presenting to Moorestown/Oncology Multidisciplinary sites. This Oncology Nurse Coordinator is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Clinical application of the knowledge and skill in the following areas: Pharmacology, principles and application of chemotherapy administration, side effects and appropriate nursing intervention, chemotherapy, liaison for patients/families receiving treatment. Leadership may be remote; requires ability of expanded problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making at a supervisory level. Will have the unique opportunity to assist in the development and operations of the Cooper Moorestown Multidisciplinary site. This model focuses on the acute/immediate care needs in the Moorestown and surrounding areas. Excellent customer service, interpersonal and clinical skills are required. Participates in cross training in other specialty areas.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years RN in Oncology setting preferred.
  • ONS/ONCC required within 12 months of hire.
  • Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
  • Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).

Responsibilities
