Role Summary The Intern, Oncology Medical Communications will support the US Scientific Communications & Publications Team on a range of initiatives supporting data dissemination, disease state education, and internal process optimization. This individual will have the opportunity to learn about the oncology therapeutic area, oncology treatment landscape, and the Scientific Communications and Publications role. Furthermore, the individual will gain exposure to other functional areas within Medical Affairs.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a PharmD, PhD, or Master’s program in a science-related field
  • Must have completed P2 year and/or oncology coursework if pursuing PharmD
  • Must have completed at least 1 year of their graduate program if pursuing PhD or Master’s
  • Experience performing PubMed searches, and reading and critically evaluating primary scientific literature
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented individual with the flexibility and organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to support continuous process improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with cancer biology and targeted therapeutics in oncology is beneficial
  • Passion for translating scientific data into accessible, short-form or visual content. Experience with content creation, social media platforms and management is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Learn the role and responsibilities of Scientific Communications & Publications, including learning and applying the processes and industry standards that govern medical communications
  • Work independently and collaboratively with subject matter experts to: Support development of abstracts, posters, oral presentations, or manuscripts from Servier-sponsored clinical trials and other Servier sponsored research
  • Translate scientific data into creative storytelling for US healthcare professionals (HCPs) through various communication channels, including digital assets, infographics and slide decks
  • Engage with cross-functional US colleagues to understand the various roles and responsibilities within Medical Affairs (e.g. Field Medical, Medical Strategy, Medical Information, Pharmacovigilance), with the opportunity to support ongoing projects aligned with their interests
