Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington. Responsible for performing and directing distribution functions for Fred Hutch pharmacies. This is a Per-Diem role that will work out of our South Lake Union Campus and may include Holiday and Weekend shifts dependent on clinical need.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- One year of experience in pharmacy practice or completion of an American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists accredited residency training program.
- State of Washington Pharmacist license.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams
Nice To Haves
- Doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Experience with Epic Willow and Beacon Oncology Applications
- Experience in oncology pharmacy practice
Responsibilities
- Prepare oncology-related medications and compounded pharmaceutical preparations, which include labeling and maintenance of patient records.
- Direct pharmacy technicians, technicians in training, interns, and assistants in all areas of technical responsibilities.
- Ensure that controlled substances are properly stored, dispensed, recorded, and inventoried.
- Monitor oncology-related medication therapy for rational use.
- Participate in drug utilization review data collection and assessment.
- Communicate with providers and patients regarding medications that have been prescribed.
- Know and follow all Pharmacy Department and Fred Hutch policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal laws.
