Responsible for performing and directing distribution functions for Fred Hutch pharmacies. This is a Per-Diem role that will work out of our South Lake Union Campus and may include Holiday and Weekend shifts dependent on clinical need.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • One year of experience in pharmacy practice or completion of an American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists accredited residency training program.
  • State of Washington Pharmacist license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams

Nice To Haves

  • Doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Experience with Epic Willow and Beacon Oncology Applications
  • Experience in oncology pharmacy practice

Responsibilities

  • Prepare oncology-related medications and compounded pharmaceutical preparations, which include labeling and maintenance of patient records.
  • Direct pharmacy technicians, technicians in training, interns, and assistants in all areas of technical responsibilities.
  • Ensure that controlled substances are properly stored, dispensed, recorded, and inventoried.
  • Monitor oncology-related medication therapy for rational use.
  • Participate in drug utilization review data collection and assessment.
  • Communicate with providers and patients regarding medications that have been prescribed.
  • Know and follow all Pharmacy Department and Fred Hutch policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal laws.
