The Oncology Field Medical Director, Malignant Hematology is responsible for providing therapeutic area/product expertise, including hematology and pipeline, across a broad range of medical customer segments and initiatives in an assigned territory (North Carolina, South Carolina, Virgina, and Washington DC). This role involves planning and executing Medical strategy, maintaining knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas and Pfizer medicines, serving as a resource for Medical Information and customer insights, and contributing to Medical content strategy development. The director will deliver approved medical content, identify priority customer segments, respond to unsolicited medical requests, and collaborate with Global Medical Affairs and Oncology Research & Development for clinical trial site identification, including those serving under-represented patient populations. They will also provide Medical support for Investigator Sponsored Research, cultivate research and therapeutic area expertise, and communicate study design and data analysis concepts to customers. The role includes strong territory leadership, communication with Patient Advocacy Groups, serving on cross-functional committees, and representing Pfizer Medical Affairs leadership with clinical/professional associations. Mentorship and participation in special projects are also part of the role.
