The Oncology Field Medical Director is responsible for providing therapeutic area/product expertise for the designated therapeutic area (GU-Prostate Cancer) across a broad range of Medical customer segments and initiatives in an assigned territory (Southern California & Arizona). This role involves planning and executing Medical strategy and engagement, maintaining a high level of knowledge in relevant therapeutic areas and Pfizer medicines, and serving as a resource for Medical Information and customer insights. The Director will contribute to Medical content strategy, ensure effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and optimize patient centricity in all Medical communications. Key responsibilities include delivering approved medical content, identifying priority customer segments, responding to unsolicited medical requests from HCPs, leading advisory boards, and collaborating with Oncology Research & Development and Global Product Development to identify clinical trial sites. The position also requires providing Medical support for Investigator Sponsored Research, cultivating research and therapeutic area expertise, providing asset leadership, and engaging with local Patient Advocacy Groups. The Director will serve on cross-functional committees and represent Pfizer Medical Affairs leadership with clinical/professional associations, while also acting as a mentor.
