Requirements

  • High School or GED, preferred.
  • 2 Year/Associates Degree, preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in a healthcare environment, required.
  • Minimum 1 year oncology specific experience, preferred.
  • Essential to complete all Bassett Healthcare Institutional Review Board requirements during the first 3 months of employment, required.
  • Skills: Attention to Detail, Gathering/Extracting Information, Maintain Files, Multi-Tasking, Time Management, Accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide research and administrative support for oncology patients throughout the Bassett Healthcare Network.
  • Schedule activities in support of the Oncology Clinical Trials Program.
  • Assist with contacting appropriate collaborators to organize program-related meetings and events.
  • Assist with the development, promotion, and dissemination of research materials/products.
  • Assist with program subject recruitment and enrollment.
  • Organize and maintain program-related documents, databases, and resources.
  • Complete and manage appropriate data in a timely and efficient manner as required by internal and external regulatory and funding agencies.
  • Assure appropriate data file creation, data maintenance, and data analysis as needed.
  • Maintain the Oncology Clinical Trials Research program's regulatory documentation.
  • Maintain records and submit items within required deadlines.
  • Assist in regulatory document completion with outside pharmaceutical sponsors.
  • Serve as the contact person for internal and external customers for the Oncology Clinical Trials program.
  • Maintain good working relationships with other departments to support the work.
  • Attend all required meetings and create minutes for distribution to recommended staff.
  • Perform similar or related duties as requested or directed.
