About The Position

The Oncology Account Manager is responsible for representing Taiho Oncology, Inc. in a professional manner while providing product expertise and customer service to accounts within a designated territory. This role involves developing new accounts, building relationships with healthcare professionals, and executing territory-level business plans to meet sales goals. The position requires effective account management skills, compliance with corporate policies, and the ability to communicate complex clinical concepts in oncology/hematology.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree preferred or AS with equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years in pharmaceutical/healthcare sales.
  • Hospital sales experience is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of oncology experience.
  • Documented sales success in meeting and achieving sales goals.
  • Self-motivating with a can-do attitude.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to be coached and developed.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the company in a highly professional and ethical manner.
  • Provide high-level product expertise and customer service to all accounts.
  • Call on customers in academic and community settings within a specific geography.
  • Develop new accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Build relationships with physicians, nurses, pharmacy, office staff, and key thought leaders.
  • Develop and execute a territory-level business plan aligned with brand strategy.
  • Track sales activities and report them in the CRM system.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's Compliance Code of Conduct and applicable laws.
  • Conduct promotional speaker programs and lunch and learns when permitted.
  • Synthesize and communicate complex clinical concepts in oncology/hematology to healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrate effective account management skills and selling competencies.
  • Drive on-label product demand to ensure proper patient identification.
  • Complete all training classes and product certifications.
  • Attend and display at relevant medical congresses and meetings as needed.
  • Develop strategies to reach difficult-to-access healthcare professionals and accounts.
  • Deliver on-label product messages in person and virtually.
  • Manage a large geographic territory with overnight travel and occasional weekends.
