About The Position

At Pilgrim's, Safety Is A Condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always. The Onboarding Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all safety policies and expectations are being met by new hires. This role manages the overall experience of new hires from day 1 to 60 days or until the new hire becomes qualified, whichever comes first. The supervisor will administer, track, and evaluate all new hire floor training, including hours of training per week, qualification status, attendance, turnover, and fostering new hire/supervisor relationships. The Onboarding Supervisor will spend 90% of their time on the production floor with the new hires, developing and promoting positive working relationships with them, peers, leaders, and clients. Additionally, the supervisor will meet with supervisors, Human Resources, and coordinators to review production processes and product specifications, participate on HR & company committees, and fulfill key performance indicators such as retention rates and safety observations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED; Associate's Degree or two years of college coursework in Communications, HR, or similar field preferred.
  • Bilingual is required.
  • Highly motivational and positive, considered a great people person.
  • Previous training experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in all duties of the specific department.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional communication and demeanor.
  • Ability to present ideas and concerns in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner.
  • Disciplined, confident, and self-starter.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Must be willing to work in a plant/industrial environment.
  • Must have a great attendance record and be in good standing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma.
