About The Position

CarepathRx transforms hospital pharmacy from a cost center into an active revenue generator through a powerful combination of technology, market-leading pharmacy services and wrap-around services. The position is responsible for performing select activities related to the clinical management and order setup of specialty patients under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Activities include but are not limited to communicating with patients, caregivers, and medical staff to accurately coordinate patient deliveries for home and office patients. The role involves making outbound and receiving inbound phone calls from patients, caregivers, and medical staff, as well as performing follow-up calls as needed and under the direction of a licensed pharmacist.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Pharmacy technician certification is preferred.
  • Prior Specialty healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to specialty pharmacy team, pharmacy distribution and operations including onboarding of new Specialty patients.
  • Maintain and update patient information and medication profiles, complete patient assessments and medication delivery setup under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Provide appropriate and accurate documentation in patient medical record.
  • Accurately provide copay information to the patient and process payments.
  • Obtain all information required by Accreditation standards and clinical review by a licensed pharmacist.
  • Maintain or exceed designated quality and production standards.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service, maintaining a service orientation in all interpersonal relations that conveys a positive, professional image.
  • Act as a conduit of information between specialty pharmacy, operations, and patient, caregiver, or medical professional.
  • Perform in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Perform other duties/tasks as required and assigned.
