About The Position

The Onboarding and Transition Coordinator will plan, schedule and coordinate all aspects of the onboarding process for neurodivergent new hires including training and paperwork completion for both Melwood and the requisitioning employer within set deadlines and following all legal and administrative compliance. The Onboarding and Transition Coordinator will deliver designated Melwood training using multiple delivery systems for neurodivergent new hires within set guidelines, deadlines, processes and procedures. The Onboarding and Transition Coordinator will remain a point of contact and provide guidance and support until each new hire has completed all designated requisitioning employer training. The Onboarding and Transition Coordinator will submit all new hire components to the Melwood and requisitioning employer through the designated data collection and vendor management system within the deadlines provided. The Onboarding and Transition Coordinator will provide the necessary information and resources to facilitate a successful transition for neurodivergent new hires into their new roles and ensure a smooth onboarding process communicating with all designated external and internal stakeholders and project team members. The Onboarding and Transition Coordinator will identify and communicate any challenges regarding neurodivergent new hires immediately to the Project Manager of the project. Onboarding and Transition Coordinator is critically important in completing onboarding and orientation activities, training, and processes completely, accurately, within tight deadlines with multiple neurodivergent new hires from multiple locations. Onboarding and Transition Coordinator will respond quickly within tight timelines and within procedural guideline which include daily updates with supervisor and requisitioning employer using designated tools, procedures, and processes.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Excellent computer skills including word processing, email, virtual platforms, scanners, vendor management system software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Positive and professional forward-facing personal interactions.
  • Experience coordinating and facilitating training sessions or orientation programs.
  • Good collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and best practices related to onboarding.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.
