About The Position

The Onboard Sales Channel is part of the wider Sales function and is a significant portion of the sales distribution for P&O Cruises. It is the only owned sales channel where we have face to face interactions with the guests, where we can take feedback and not only optimise the channel opportunities, but wider business priorities as well. This role is an exciting and varied shore-based role where you will work closely with both ship and shore-based teams to support the delivery of our Onboard Sales & Loyalty strategy. Reporting to the Onboard Sales & Loyalty Manager, you'll be pivotal in collaborating in the deployment of marketing campaigns and commercial initiatives that drive future cruise sales and elevate our guests' loyalty experience. You'll support a team of 30+ ship-based Loyalty & Cruise Sales Managers (LCSMs), helping them to deliver commercial performance while enhancing loyalty through onboard events and benefits.

Requirements

  • Good A-Level Minimum
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office packages
  • Experience of working in a commercial environment
  • Experience of engaging with multiple stakeholders across multiple departments

Nice To Haves

  • Degree and/or marketing qualification
  • Marketing and/or cruise experience
  • Knowledge of and/or experience of P&O Cruises product and operation

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support on shore and onboard systems, loyalty tiers, and data issues; resolve queries from fleet teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyse sales performance and campaign impact, manage team incentives and budgets, and communicate commercial focuses to drive onboard revenue.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of a variety of different marketing collateral for the ships aligning loyalty messaging with brand and campaign milestones.
  • Support, training, onboarding, and sales performance feedback for Loyalty & Cruise Sales Managers; manage secondee programs and support rota planning.
