About The Position

Barker Management Inc. is a leader in the Property Management Services industry who has provided quality service to customers since 1972. The On-Site Manager is responsible for all phases of site operations for their assigned development, reporting directly to the Regional Manager while remaining attentive and responsive to all reasonable requests made by the asset manager/owner/investor for the development. The role ensures stable operation, timely and accurate completion of duties, a well-maintained appearance, safety and security for the development and residents, timely reporting of problems, open communication among staff, a courteous and professional demeanor, resident compliance with lease terms, and responsiveness to resident concerns, all while adhering to established rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of office and clerical experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Good computer skills using MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Good organizational, communication, and people skills.
  • Must have Tax Credit and Bond experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in affordable housing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The stable operation of the development.
  • The timely and accurate completion of all assigned duties.
  • A well-maintained appearance for the development.
  • The safety and security of the development and the residents always.
  • The identification and reporting of all problems or potential problems involving the development or its residents to his or her supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Open communication between every individual involved in the operational aspects of the development; Assistant Manager, Leasing Agent, Janitor and Maintenance Staff.
  • A courteous and professional demeanor at all times, especially when interacting with the residents, asset management, vendors, and community members.
  • Compliance by the residents with the terms and conditions of the Residential Lease and the Resident Rules and Guidelines in a firm, consistent, professional, and non-discriminatory manner.
  • Attentiveness to the concerns, complaints, and/or suggestions of the residents and responsiveness those concerns, complaints, and/or suggestions in a prompt, fair, competent, and professional manner.
  • Compliance with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures established for the development.
