Hyder Property Management Professionals is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Property Manager to oversee an affordable family housing community. The role involves managing and directing operations in accordance with policies set by the Owner, Governing Agency, Management Agent, and Fair Housing Laws. The Assistant Property Manager will ensure the community is maintained to a high standard while providing excellent customer service and support to residents.

  • Assist in overseeing the operations of an affordable housing community.
  • Implement the Management Plan and Fair Housing Marketing Plans.
  • Review rental applications for eligibility and conduct entry interviews with new tenants.
  • Ensure timely collection of rent and issuance of receipts.
  • Conduct physical inspections of the property and complete semi-annual unit inspections.
  • Supervise maintenance and other personnel, including performance evaluations.
  • Handle the purchasing process for the community and manage petty cash.
  • Establish good resident relations and handle complaints with discretion and fairness.
  • Maintain proper documentation of resident files and incident reports.
  • Assist in audits and inspections by Government Agencies.
  • 2-3 years of experience in property management, specifically in affordable housing.
  • Strong customer service and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Yardi software and other office machines.
  • Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance.
  • Bilingual in English and another language preferred.
