The Assistant Community Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager and community associations by providing accounting and resales support. This position involves managing daily property operations, maintaining professional relationships with various stakeholders, and ensuring timely communication and processing of financial documents. The role requires a customer service-oriented individual who can handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Provide accounting support including accounts payable and receivable management.
  • Track split billings and handle resales and settlements for the community associations.
  • Serve as the point of contact for receiving and processing settlement checks.
  • Respond to requests from homeowners, board members, and internal customers in a timely manner.
  • Issue homeowner refunds on a weekly basis.
  • Assist internal customers with understanding the system and answering questions about pending and upcoming resale orders.
  • Manage daily activities of the accounting department and assist with audit inquiries.
  • Verify and reconcile bank statements and department records.
  • Sort documents and post debits/credits to the appropriate accounts.
  • Maintain necessary accounting records for multiple associations.
  • Oversee posting and maintenance of general ledger accounts and payroll transactions.
  • Provide financial analysis statements including monthly balance sheets and income statements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3 - 8 years of directly related or closely related experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal).
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and problem-solve effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion.
